Aesthetics: courtyard, unique room displays, proximity to Old Salem and I-40

Styrofoam cups, and plastic cups in suite, directions to individual room were complicated,

The wifi at the hotel would not work from my smartphone. If they updated that then everything will be perfect at that hotel

Loved everything about the hotel, including the location. It is in the middle of the historic district of Winston-Salem. Also, we loved how friendly the staff was, and loved the layout, and decor of the rooms. We will be returning to this hotel.

We didn't like that they do not have a full service restaurant on site.

    Great price, great atmosphere

They gave away our room before we got there so we got stuck with a room with 2 full beds. We wanted a romantic get away and we to stuck with a huge cold room that was clearly ment for a huge group. I was not happy with the room.

The effort to refurbish and retain the "Historical Appeal and Appearance"

Routine checks on room quality--Item 1---zero towels in room upon check in--Item 2---window blinds had broken and/or missing controls to tilt/raise

Traveling on business means really watching a budget and it's really nice to stay somewhere unique. Interesting design & great location

The family in the room above allowed their young children to be noisy and running until past 11:30pm. Very inconsiderate.

It was very charming and the cookie and milk/ wine and cheese were a nice touch.

Our shower had very little water pressure but had plenty of hot water so it was still acceptable.

Room decor was very welcoming, rooms were spacious, front desk staff very friendly, beds were comfortable

Walls seemed a bit thin - could hear other guests talking, walking, etc

beautiful decore, nice proximity to town.

A nice retaraunt for a real breakfast would have been good.

It was a very relaxing and friendly stay. We were close to history and great restaurants. The walking trail was very nice through Old Salem. The breakfast, wine and cheese and then cookies and milk were a real treat. The room was comfortable and the microwave and refrigerator were added values. Everyone was cordial and helpful. The Christmas decor was an extra bonus!!!!!!!!!!!

The bathtub a little worse for wear ...needs recaulking and a new shower head. But small complaint in the grand scheme of our stay.

Historic building, it is beautiful.Spacious room.

No coffee maker in room. Noise from upstairs room, old television, no hot water in bathroom sink, the bar water faucet nozzle held on with electrical tape, bedside lights difficult to use and one did not work, hallway carpet stained/discolored.

The design of the Inn, taking an old mill and converting it into a great use. The closeness to Old Salem, walking distance. Close to a couple of good restaurants. The feel of the rooms and the wine and cheese time and the coffee available all of the time.

Interesting place to stay, in an old cotton mill. Great location, close to excellent restaurants in downtown area. Continental breakfast was good. Polite and friendly staff. Complimentary wine and cheese in the afternoon.

Our room was clean, but shabby. Sheets were torn, bathroom ceiling was mildewed over the tub, new looking sink faucet but no drain plug. We were only staying one night and got a good rate, so as long as the room was clean and the bed comfortable, I didn't mind things like an old tv and bathroom. The public part of the facility did not seem as rundown as our room.

    Good location.

This time, both nights, we had extremely noisy neighbors. Hours of screaming kids, TV on loud, and left on most of the night. Seemingly no noise barrier between the rooms. In an prior stay, I must have lucked out.... either no neighbors or very quiet neighbors, and that was one of the things I had liked about the place, how quiet it was. Also, the breakfast was such a high carbohydrate event, no protein choices, not even yogurt, or hard-boiled eggs. Couldn't really eat any of it, since I have diabetes. For anyone else, it was adequate and nicely laid out.
